Ingredients
- 2 C Pamela’s Baking & Pancake Mix
- ½ C butter flavored Crisco
- ¾ C milk
- ½ t minced garlic
- 1 C shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ C butter (½ stick), melted
- 1 t minced garlic
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a bowl, place the baking mix and Crisco. Cut the Crisco into the mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the milk and garlic, and mix well.
- Drop biscuits by heaping tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from oven.
- Mix the melted butter and 1 t garlic. Brush over hot biscuits and let sit 2 minutes.
- Serve warm
Options for Gluten Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits
If you’re not a gluten-free house you can still make Gluten Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Simply substitute Bisquick or Jiffy baking mix for the Pamela’s, following the directions on the package for the biscuits. Omit the butter flavored Crisco and adjust the milk accordingly. Gluten Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits or wheat-based Cheddar Bay Biscuits will be a phenomenal addition to your dinner table.
